Slip
and fall injuries can be perilous - a broken step, a
debris-littered floor, or uneven pavement can lead to anything
from a broken arm or leg to permanent injury resulting in partial
or full paralysis.
If you've been injured through a slip and fall, or in any other
way as a result of someone's carelessness, or negligence, you
usually have two years to begin legal proceedings.
If the party at fault is a city
or town or other public authority, special shorter limitation
periods may apply - sometimes as little as 10 days!
If you don't start legal action
within that period, you may miss your chance forever. This
is why you must talk to a lawyer immediately.
