A Brampton truck accident has claimed the life of a man in his 60s after a collision involving a cargo van and tractor-trailer.
Peel Regional Police responded to Queen Street East and Delta Park Boulevard shortly before 1:30 p.m. on August 28, 2026. Police said the tractor-trailer was stopped and waiting to turn left onto Delta Park Boulevard when a second vehicle struck it from behind.
The driver of the van was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries. He later died. The tractor-trailer driver was not physically injured.
Police said it was not yet clear why the collision occurred. Members of Peel Regional Police’s Major Collision Bureau are investigating.
